Over the last few weeks I have been super busy planning for my friends hen do, wedding and my sisters hen do! This weekend was my friends hen do and I can share with you some images of the weekend!
I have seriously slacked on my blog, but i have been so busy and over the coming months I will finally be able to show you what I have been working on!
So, firstly I was asked to make my friends wedding invitations which was a huge privalage and of course I said yes. She lives in the Lake District, has a rustic style and was happy for me to do what I thought and show her my ideas. Perfect customer!
I hand drew everything on the invitations and printed them all. It was a big challenge but overall it went well and it is definitely something I would love to do more of!
For the hen do I wanted to add a few little styling touches! I wasn’t able to see the venue until I got there so it was hard to see what the space would be like. Luckily it was in the country, the building had character and worked well with what I had planned!
I love to do typography, wherever possible I love to put in a chalkboard somewhere! I used trellis with photographs of the bride to be alongside plenty welcome drinks for everyone. This was sat at the front entrance which worked perfectly!
I set up a drinks station with a gin trolley and a pimp your prosecco station! There was plenty jars with fruit, cordials and herbs to bring it to life! I also had some plywood letters made to spell out ‘Nats Hen Do’ which sat happily on the fireplace! A few simple wire lights surrounding it.
I designed a couple of things for inside every guests ‘survival kit’ for the weekend! A little welcome message, an itinerary sheet and a Polaroid strip of the bride to be! It’s the little details I enjoy and it brings it all together!
The weekend has inspired me to push my styling and as this is something I love I really want to see how far I can take it! I feel I have so many different things I like and enjoy doing, but I fear it is too much? Should I narrow it down to just one thing I love? I have been wondering about how to push my business, how to make it more real, how to describe what I do! Lots of questions I am unsure how to answer.
I have decided this weekend I want to sit down in my little office, brainstorm and jot down all my ideas, plans and thoughts! To hopefully see what I can do with it all...get it down on paper!
Have a look at some of the images from the weekend! I will get back into the blog and keep you posted of how I get on over the weekend!
