As you all know I have been working on the styling for my best friends wedding. This weekend the day had finally come to celebrate the wedding of Nat and Phil. Last week was very busy with so many friends and family helping set up the venue. They live in the Lake District and this was a perfect setting for a great wedding.
I tried to add lots of little touches to the wedding and being able to style it was a great pleasure. Nat has lots of great friends and to be asked to be bridesmaid and help with the wedding was a privilege. So, the entrance to the church had a welcome sign which worked great with the setting.
I discussed with Nat what she wanted for the displays and added a few touches throughout.
The church was full of friends and family and it was so great to see them get married. The setting was perfect, as was the weather. So, now they are Mr and Mrs Edmondson! Let the celebrations begin!
Everyone arrived back at Grove Farm with welcome drinks. It was a relief to have nice weather as all the displays looked great and everyone was able to sit outside and enjoy the outside space.
As you walked up to the marquee there was the table plan, made from pallets with a variety of picture frames hung on them. Just through the doors of the marquee there were two easels, one with a blackboard saying welcome and the second with an order of the day board. This was also included in the invitations. I wanted the invites to link to the styling at the wedding. These were draped with ivy and fit well with the scheme.
There was also a large pallet with the timings of the day on. Just to keep guests aware of how the day will run.
So, after plenty of photographs and a few proseccos everyone was enjoying themselves. The meal and the speeches were great and very funny! I will add a few images now of the marquee and how everything looked when everything was put together.
There has been so much help and everyone came together to make the weekend really special. It was so nice to be around happy and caring people. It was a great day and thank you Nat and Phil for letting me be a part of your special day. You looked perfect!
