Malteaser Cheesecake

I have finally got round to writing this up, quite a few people have asked me for the recipe so here it is!


There is an amazing cake shop close to my work which is where I tried malteaser cheesecake first! Ever since I have wanted to try making it myself as it is so yummy! For a first attempt it turned out really well and I would definitely suggest making will definitely go down well! :)


For the biscuit base:

200g digestive biscuits 

100g melted butter


For the cheesecake filling and topping:

600g full fat cream cheese - like Philadelphia 

110g icing sugar

6tbsp malt powder

1tbsp vanilla extract

300ml double cream

1/2 bags of smashed up malteaser



For the biscuit base:

1. Grease or line a 20-25cm springform tin

2. Put the biscuits in a freezer bag and bash with a rolling pin until you get fine crumbs 

3. Mix the melted butter in with the biscuit crumbs

4. Pour the biscuit mix into the prepared tin and use a spoon to press down firmly into the tin

5. Chill in the fridge for at least 30mins whilst you make the filling


For the cheesecake filling and topping:

1. Place all remaining ingredients except the cream and malteasers into a large bowl and and mix thoroughly until smooth and combined

2. Whip the double cream until smooth and stiff

3. Gently fold the stiff whipped cream And a handful of smashed malteasers into the mixture until fully encorporated 

4. Tip the cheesecake mixture into the prepared biscuit base, smooth it out as best you can and add a couple more handfuls of smashed malteasers to the top

5. Put the cheesecake back in the fridge for at least 2 hrs, I left mine over night which I felt was much better! 

6. Remove from the tin and enjoy!


The next time I make this I will drizzle white choclate over the top as well I think and try that! :)


Whichever way, it is extremely yummy and perfect with a cup of tea! I hope you enjoy!
